Getting to know a little about Mike and Gayle..... We have talked a lot about real estate and our services in the other areas of our website and thought we might now share a little of ourselves with you. Mike was originally from Los Angels and at 17 he joined the navy. While in the navy he traveled quite a bit because he had to go where his ship went. He ended up in Hawaii and has never left. We met when I was fifteen and he was a bit older than I but for some reason our lives continued to cross paths. At one point I remember him helping my older brother build out his new office space and he told him one day I will marry into the family. Years passed and no one thought anything of it. One day he decided to ask me if I wanted to go and see West Side Story because his date had cancelled. Lucky me. I love musicals. We had been friends forever and well it was a no brainer. We decided to dress as grown ups for the musical instead of our normal laid back attire of jeans and cowboy boots. I wore a sexy cocktail dress and he wore a suit. The evening was amazing. He dropped me off, said goodnight, and off he went. We both thought nothing would come of it. How wrong we both were. We have been married now for ten years. We have a son who turned 21 years old this year named Xavier and we still can't believe we survived his teens. Mike came on board right when I needed the support to parent a seven year old and thank goodness for that. His patience, understanding, and guidance helped me be a better parent. I don't think we are out of the woods just yet but we survived the teens. We also have three wonderful pookies as Mike likes to call them. Samantha is a 13 year old golden retriever, Missy is a 1.5 year old standard poodle, and Hunnybear is almost 1 and a white labradoodle. The three girls keep us laughing and entertained. My love of horses as a little girl has transformed into having two of my very own. Thanks to Mike's love and support we bought our first horse about six years ago and her name is Shiloh. A couple of years later we met and fell in love with Ellie. They are both quarter horses with their own wonderful personalities. They have taught me so much about life it is hard to believe. A horse trainer by the name of Raye Lockhart said this at a clinic we attended, "you have the horse you deserve." I scratched my head and pondered what he was saying. I figured out that basically you get what you put into it. Which I then started applying to everything else in life. I have to say from that point on I have worked at being a better horse person, parent, friend, family member, and everything else because there is no one out there to point at when things aren't what they should be except me. Life is valuable and often not as long as we all think it will be. Live life to the fullest. Plan for your future but live in the present. Not easy to do but something to strive for. Mike and I look forward to helping you with all of your real estate needs. Call us we look forward to hearing from you. Lets chat over coffee.... Mike and Gayle |
